Updates
As part of our congregation’s support of our neighbors, on Saturday, March 7th, a small contingent of our congregation, Chuck Prewett, Sarah Doherty, Duane Goff, and I, participated in the annual Tahoe Park Cleanup Day. We raked, picked up trash, and trimmed bushes and trees. Many of our neighbors were there with their children helping as well.
Tahoe Park Neighborhood Association (TPNA) Annual Yard Sale: April 11th-12th. Neighbors throughout Tahoe Park are encouraged to participate in the yard sale weekend on April 11th and 12th, 2026! If you want to participate, go to the Tahoe Park Neighborhood Association website to sign up or if you are looking for bargains, browse for treasures.
St. Paul’s annual Bazaar and Rummage sale on June 6th this year, so start looking for items you might want to sell.
Spring Pet Blessing
On Saturday, April 18th,from 9-10 AM, on the front lawn, Pastor Townsend will celebrate our beloved pets. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, all are welcome to receive a special blessing in gratitude for the joy they bring into our lives.
Cinco de mayo
We’ll be celebrating Cinco de Mayo on May 2nd. Plans are underway for a wonderful time. This will be a fundraiser for Lutheran Social Services in support of their work in securing housing for homeless families.
Ongoing
Lutheran Social Services
We continue to collect the following items for new unhoused Sacramento neighbors who will be getting a place to live in the next two months. If you can help, please bring the following NEW items to St. Paul’s and we will deliver them.
Double Bed Linens, towels, toilet paper, paper plates, broom, dustpan, all-purpose cleaner, kitchenware. Or, if you prefer, write a check to St. Paul’s with the notation, for LSS homeless on the bottom.
Tahoe Park Food Pantry
Every Sunday we collect boxed and canned food for the food pantry located behind Tahoe Park Elementary School. Please don’t forget to bring canned fruit, soups, meat, etc. Please check the expiration date. We don’t want to give food that we wouldn’t serve our children. There are many needy families in our area.
In closing, Jesus started his work with the twelve apostles. We are a small congregation but working together we can make a difference. We show our love for our neighbors through demonstrating care for their needs. Let’s shine a light in our community.
