Newsletter Distribution

As we move forward, more and more people are using digital media and email to communicate and provide timely information. Here at St. Paul’s, we will continue to provide our newsletter as a mailer for those of you who request it, do not use email, or are in situations where you cannot access a computer. Starting next month, we will email our newsletter if we have your email address. If you log in to our website, you can follow us on the following platforms and provide us with your email address.

Diaper Distributed in 2025:

Jauary: 3,250

February: 7,100

March: 6,750

April: 6,750

May: 9,000

June: 9,400

July:   10,150

Next time you’re at the store, check out the price of diapers, pull-ups and baby formula.  You will be surprised at the prices!  I don’t know how working families do it.  Having a child is so expensive!  The families we serve are very grateful for this diaper distribution service and fortunately the state legislature has voted to continue to fund this project.  We still do not know how much will be allocated but are grateful that we will be able to continue this service in our community. Hopefully the new contract will be sent to us to be signed soon.

Baby formula is not part of the regular program, and we were praying for some way to help families with this need.  Our prayers were answered and the Sacramento Valley Food Bank got a donation of formula in June!  We have been able to provide families with infants this additional support for the past couple of months. Praise the Lord!

We will be taking September off and will resume the diaper program on October 25th.

Thanks again to our dedicated volunteers: Chuck Prewett, Sarah Doherty, Erik Bjerke, Duane Goff, and Pastor Townsend!

Community Events – All are welcome to these events!

September 6th, community bazaar/yard sale from 8 am- 12 noon. This is a great opportunity to declutter things that other folks will be happy to use.  St. Paul’s will provide a table and will not be charging a fee. If you want a table, please sign up at www.stpaulsacramento.com or call (916) 616-7397.

October 4th Pet Blessing from 9-10 AM. Please bring your pets to St. Paul’s to be blessed! Pastor Townsend has a special SHORT ceremony and then will bless each pet. As beloved members of our families,  dogs, cats, birds, etc. are all welcome.

Oktoberfest, Saturday, October 25th, starting at 6 pm. Join us for our annual fundraiser for dinner, music, and a silent auction/raffle.  $20 per person donation.

November 1st, Día de los Muertos (Mexican All Saints Day) Art Activity. Decorate a “sugar” skull or make a festive headband. An activity the entire family can enjoy! Saturday from 10 am-Noon.

More events and good news will be coming! God Bless you!
