For the past months our congregation has been working with Dr. Philip Stewart, better known as “Chappie”, on the development of strategies to reach our goals. Our primary thought as we worked on this project has been “How can St. Paul serve our community/neighbors?” To that end, we now have an annual calendar of events. The calendar is on our new website with some specific dates yet to be determined. Last week we worked on finalizing our mission/vision! Which is:
We reach our neighbors for the kingdom of God in Christ through visibility, availability , and service.
Everything we do as we move forward will be aligned with this statement. Many thanks to all who have engaged in this work and have contributed their ideas on projects our church can undertake. Onward and forward!
Diaper Distribution
Our last distribution on Saturday, June 28th was a very busy time. We had the largest turnout yet! More and more families are learning to trust us. This month we were also able to provide a month’s supply of formula. The monthly breakdown is as follows:
Diapers distributed 2025:
Jan.- 3,250 | Feb. 7,100 | Mar. 6,750 | Apr. 6,750 | May 9,000 | June 9,400 |
Thanks again to our dedicated volunteers: Chuck Prewett, Sarah Doherty, Erik Bjerke, Duane Goff, and Pastor Townsend!
Outreach:
Our next neighborhood event will be a community yard sale/bazaar in August. The specific date is yet to be determined [Update: Community Yard Sale is 09/06/2025 from 8am-12pm]. Our neighbors and congregants will be able to set up and sell items. So, start looking through your closets and storage, this will be a great opportunity to declutter things that other folks will be happy to use and for youth entrepreneurs to sell lemonade and other refreshments. St. Paul’s will not be charging a fee.
